Perinatal Psychiatry Access Network (PeriPAN)

1 in 5 pregnant or postpartum patients have a diagnosable mental health condition. Untreated maternal mental health conditions are a leading underlying cause of pregnancy-related death.

We help clinicians support patients in real time. Women often face limited access to appropriately trained providers, long waitlists, or care refusals tied to pregnancy or breastfeeding, leading many to delay or forgo care they need immediately.

PeriPAN is state funded, so there is no cost to you or your patient, and no insurance is needed.

PeriPAN is expanding mental health care access for women during the entire reproductive process, from contemplation through postpartum including post-loss. We help OB/GYNs and other trusted clinicians care for patients within their own practice, reducing the need for outside referrals.

We support all clinicians caring for perinatal women, including obstetricians, midwives, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and social workers.

PeriPAN operates within a statewide network of experts who are conducting and applying current research to perinatal and pediatric mental and behavioral health care—and developing the next generation of clinicians.
