Handling a Mental Health Crisis in Pediatric Primary Care

The purpose of this session is to assist primary care providers in their understanding of mental health emergencies, which will include what constitutes a mental health emergency, determining the level of care needed if the situation is an emergency, what Crisis Plans are and how to use them, and finally how to talk with parents/guardians about this difficult situation.

Target Audience: Primary Care Providers, nurses, and clinic staff.
