1. Explain key characteristics of nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI)
   behavior that may increase the risk for future suicide attempt
2. Recall at least 3 important questions to ask individuals who
   engage in NSSI
3. Discuss strategies for providing brief, targeted counsel/advice
   to individuals who engage in NSSI

Target Audience: Primary Care Providers, nurses, clinic staff, and anyone who wants to better understand the etiology and treatment of NSSI.
