  1. Key terms, and concepts and understanding of gender diversity and sexual orientation.
  2. Participating in the care of patients with Gender Dysphoria.
  3. The role of psychiatrist in Gender Dysphoria.

Presenter Bio:

Dr. Odom currently is a second year child and adolescent psychiatry fellow here at TTUHSC El Paso on track to graduate June 2021. Dr. Odom did his undergrad at the University of Oklahoma. He went to medical school at la Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara where he received his MD while also learning to speak Spanish.  Dr. Odom did his general psychiatry residency at BronxCare Health System a Mt Sinai Affiliate in the Bronx New York. During his time as a resident/fellow he was awarded the Resident of the Year in honor of excellence in Emergency Psychiatry at BronxCare Health System, Leadership in Diversity Award Overall Best Poster Presentation at the 9th Annual Cultural Competence Conference on his poster involving the Transgender Community, and co-authored 2 book chapters.
